· Citizen Advocacy Efforts
For example, did you know your senators reopened the issue of restricting in-state tuition for children of undocumented immigrants? What’s your opinion on the social contract we have with the children of our communities? Come to this month’s meeting and we can discuss that and many more.

Who is that being hounded by reporters? Friday 6 February 2009, our own Senator Ben Nelson emerged from a meeting with senate leaders to announce that they have come to an agreement for passage of the Stimulus Package. So now, as fellow Nebraskans, we can bask in his reflected glory… that is before the next economic catastrophe ensues (tomorrow) or, worse, people actually read the bill.
