Scott Kleeb’s 10 Commitments to Serve Nebraska

October 30th, 2008 Don Comments off

As a member of the U.S. Senate:

• I will not vote for any new spending unless there is a specific way to pay for it.
• I will not accept Senate health care until all Nebraskans have access to health care.
• I will not accept a pay raise unless the budget is balanced.
• My first bill will be the “American Jobs & Energy Act,” which will end tax breaks for companies that move jobs overseas and use the savings to create renewable energy jobs here in Nebraska.
• I will not take junkets or gifts from lobbyists.
• I will publish a list of all targeted projects I support, and put it on the internet.
• I will publish my entire schedule on the internet and not conduct any secret, closed door meetings.
• I will publish an Annual Accountability Report and conduct an annual independent audit of my Senate Office, just like businesses do.
• I will host an “Ask the Senator” online meeting every three months.
• My wife and I will keep our family right here in Hastings, Nebraska and our two little girls will attend public school here.

Kleeb’s Campaign Comes to North Platte

October 27th, 2008 Don Comments off

Hi, I’m Lucas Atkinson, Scott’s Field Organizer in North Platte.

As the campaign winds to a close we’re kicking it into high gear.  But we need your help to ensure victory for Scott on Election Day. We’re asking each of our supporters to do just three things between now and November 4th.

First, we need you to come out and support Scott at his Countdown to Change Town Hall Meeting on Sunday, November 2nd, at the Airport Inn (5400 East Lee Bird Drive, North Platte, NE) at 1:00 p.m.

Second, bring three friends or family members who are still deciding who to vote for to the town hall meeting. Your enthusiasm and Scott’s message of bringing Nebraska’s brand of change to Washington is sure to win them over.

Third, we’re knocking on doors and making calls to ensure that every Nebraskan knows they have a real choice this year, so sign up for a get-out-the-vote volunteer shift before Election Day.

Our new North Platte office is located in the Brouillette Law Offices at 501 South Dewey Street, so stop by to say hello. Contact me through Kleeb’s web site here.

With your help Scott can win on November 4th. I’m looking forward to working with you.

See you soon!
Lucas Atkinson

P.S. If you can’t wait until November 2nd to see Scott, he’ll be visiting Gothenburg and McCook TODAY, Monday, October 27th. At 11:30 a.m. Scott will be stopping at the Gothenburg Senior Center (410 20th Street). Later, he’ll be stopping into the Looking Glass Restaurant (110 Norris Avenue) in McCook at 7:00 p.m.
