Nebraska Democratic Party Convention Website

If you are looking for information on the Nebraska Democratic Party Convention visit the Convention Website. The website is still under construction but will have detailed information about the Convention. The State Convention will be held on June 20 – 22, 2008 in Fremont, NE. Lincoln County will have 12 Delegates to the State Convention with 6 committed to Clinton and 6 committed Obama and 6 Alternates 3 committed to Clinton and 3 to Obama.

 

The Lincoln County Convention will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 7:00 pm in the conference room at the North Platte Airport. If you are interested in being a delegate to the State Convention and participated in the February 9th Caucus join us on June 5th and learn what it takes to become a State Convention Delegate. 2008 Lincoln County Democratic Convention

After a very successful 2008 Presidential Caucus in Nebraska, the Lincoln County Democratic Party is looking forward to hosting its 2008 Lincoln County Democratic Convention. You may remember when you attended the Lincoln County Caucus, everyone attending the Caucus in Lincoln County was elected as a County Convention Delegate.

ANY REGISTERED DEMOCRAT CAN REGISTER AND BE A DELEGATE TO THE COUNTY CONVENTION. We now need to know how many Delegates will be attending the Convention.

  • Platform Issues to the State Party Convention
  • Elect Officers for the Lincoln County Democratic Party
  • Finalization of the 2008 Presidential Preference Delegates to State Convention

You don’t want to miss out on the most exciting County Convention in 40 years.

The LCD Convention will be held on Thursday June 5, 2008.
Place of the Event: Airport Conference Room at 7:00 pm

Social Event in North Platte Before 3rd CDO Meeting

Current NDP National Committeeman and candidate for re-election, Vince Powers, and State Chair candidate, Vic Covalt, will be hosting a reception in North Platte the evening before our upcoming Third Congressional District Organization meeting. Please join them, Friday, May 30, 2008, and take advantage of the opportunity to meet many of the Lincoln County Democrats at the Rail Bar in the Depot Restaurant (520 North Jeffers, North Platte, NE) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Amendment 1 Discussed at Monthly Meeting

chip-lcd5-1.jpgWhen the Lincoln County Democrats gathered for their monthly meeting on Thursday, May 1, 2008 they spent some time talking the upcoming County Convention, the Neville Dinner and Amendment 1. Mayoral Candidate Chip Volceck also talked with the Lincoln County Democrats gathered and answered several questions. Chip is one of 4 people running in the non- partisan race.

The County Convention will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008. During the Convention elections will be held for county leadership positions including County Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. We will also elect delegates to the State Convention June 20 – 22, 2008 in Freemont. Mark your calendar to attend the County Convention on Thursday, June 5th.
